Differences between common ICF and our ICCF:
The common insulated concrete forms are made of eps blocks connected with steel or plastic connectors. But EPS blocks are easy to catch fire and not strong enough so when concrete is being poured into the cavity, they need backups in case of fracture.(shown in the following photo)


However, our insulated concrete form system is made of recycled eps, fly ash and cement. They are modular units that are dry-stacked (without mortar), re-enforced with steels and filled with concrete. The insulated concrete forms are put together and serve to create a form for the structural walls of a building. Concrete is filled into the cavity to form a higher strength. After the concrete has cured, or firmed up, the insulated concrete forms are left in place permanently. This kind of walls have the same insulation characteristic as ICFs made from EPS, but stronger than them. It doesn’t need backup during the process of construction. Most importantly, it is completely noncombustible. The fire resistant test shows that when the flame temperature reaches 1200℃, the 280mm-thick ICF structure with 96 tons of load is still complete and  the wall surface temperature raises only 6 ℃. Besides, they are thermal and acoustic insulation, anti-seismic(be able to stand 9 magnitude earthquake), energy-saving, environmentally friendly, frost resistance and easy construction. 


Advantages of ICCF system:
I. Fire-resistance
The fire resistant test shows that when the flame temperature reaches 1200℃, the 280mm-thick ICF structure with 96 tons of load is still complete and  the wall surface temperature raises only 6 ℃.
II. Thermal and Acoustic Insulation
Thermal conductivity of this kind of product is less than 0.081wmk. The acoustic insulation mass is ≥ 50db.
III. Anti-seismic
Test shows that walls made of this system can meet the seismic requirements of 8 magnitude earthquake.
IV. Energy saving
In the past, buildings were built with little emphasis on saving energy, largely because we enjoyed low energy prices. But these are different times. With today’s unprecedented rise in energy costs, improving thermal performance is a financial decision that pays dividends for the life of the property.
Typical “advertised” R-values for new wood-frame construction are misleading. In fact, a typical wood frame home has so many air leaks, it’s like a window open all the time, accounting for 25%-45% of the total heat loss of the building.
 An industry study concluded that ICF walls typically require 44% less energy to heat the building and 32% less to keep it cool compared to wood frame buildings. ICCF consistently exceeds these industry averages.
ICCF’s superior R-value and air tightness greatly reduces heat loss and lowers energy consumption. By increasing thermal performance with ICCF, HAVC equipment operates less often, reducing energy cost.
Because less moisture filled air penetrates exterior walls, air conditions don’t work hard to remove humidity from the air.
ICCF even reduces heat loss from hot water pipes.
V. Environmentally friendly
ICCF is produced from recycled post-consumer and post-industrial expanded polystyrene(Styrofoam), which is then mixed with fly ash and cement. By volume, it is 85% of recycled polystyrene and fly ash and 15% of cement. The recycled EPS would otherwise end up in landfills and never be decomposed. It is truly a green building material.
It reduces energy consumption, and with energy saving comes environmental benefits. Specially, the reduction of fossil fuels burned to create energy. By reducing our energy consumption, we reduce combustion by-products that produce smog and contribute to global warming. Over the life of a 30-year mortgage, a home built with ICCF saves our atmosphere 60-90 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
The production of ICCF is classified as ecologically clean. No particles of fumes are set free during its production. Only a minimum energy is required-producing one ICCF panel consumes less than 2kwh of electricity curing requires no external energy, and no heat is involved in the production process.
All production waste is recycled and converted into new product. In addition, remnants from the building site can also be returned and recycled.
